Outdoor Learning Week

Week 3

Tuesday, 15 May 2018

Y6 morning club is a huge success - more than 75% (that is more three quarters - Quick Maths) of the class have been arriving at school this week early to relax, play and eat breakfast before SATS.

We've been doing mindful colouring in, lego building, computer games and even hair dressing! Three tests down, three to go! Everyone is working so hard :) keep it up.

SATS - we are all ready for it!

We aren't wishing each other good luck as we don't need luck. We've worked hard all year and have made great progress. We are hoping to achieve our very best and are ready to show off all the knowledge that we have acquired throughout KS2. Let's do this year 6!

Timetable:

Mon - Grammar and Spelling
Tues - Reading
Wed - Arithmetic and Reasoning 1
Thurs - Reasoning 2

This is someone who knows how to get rounders!

Dan has been demonstrating fantastic skill development in rounders - what a great hit it was for his super speedy rounder run!

Week 2 Winners!

Wednesday, 9 May 2018

Y6 pupils are still acting as the teachers - spotting grammar mistakes this time!

Tyler found marking the test paper frustrating as every question was wrong with silly mistakes - we can learn from these mistakes though!

Healthy Eating

After the Healthy Eating Extravaganza on Friday, your homework is to try as many new foods as you can over the weekend. Tell everyone you meet about the amazing foods you tasted on Friday and encourage others to try new foods. What foods did you try for the first time? Which foods did you enjoy the most?

There will be extra dojo points for healthy lunchboxes.

Tour de Yorkshire

Did you know Tour de Yorkshire is taking place right next to our school? We've been researching the route and the history of the race. Keep a look out for our leaflets that we are making next week to inform our parents all about this exciting event taking place in our community.

Thank you parents/carers

Just a big thank you to the parents/carers that came to the SATS presentation last week. It was very well attended and we appreciate your involvement during this busy time. It was so lovely to share the fantastic work being produced at Parents Evening too. Thank you for your ongoing support with the children - Miss Armitage is very proud of them and I'm sure you are too!  Have a lovely Easter break.
